After a long and busy morning Saturday helping get the MHS colorguard get ready to compete at their final competition of the season, I headed to Baton Rouge to shoot the LSU vs Alabama game. I was pretty tired when I arrived at the stadium, having been up and going not stop since about 4:30am. Despite being a bit tired though I shot the game as I would any other football game. Even though I am an LSU fan and would have loved to see the Tigers win the game, I thought it was a great game to shoot with lots of action and emotion. Below are my favorite images from the night, including the shot of the winning touchdown by Alabama.

End to Another Season
Saturday night marked the end to another marching band season. I couldn't be more happy with what the Mandeville High School colorguard was able to accomplish this season. A best colorguard award last week at Circuit Championships and superior rating at the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands on Saturday are the result of the huge amount of individual growth, team unity and of a collective desire to strive for the highest. I am very excited for what the future holds for this program. With that being said, I wanted to share some of my favorite photos of the Mandeville colorguard and band from the past two weeks from Circuit Championships last Saturday to a busy Friday and Saturday of performances.
It took over two hours to get hair and makeup done Saturday morning before heading to Lafayette to compete at Showcase. It was a long day for the colorguard with a 6am start time but it was an even longer day for me (all very much worth it). Immediately following their performance, I drove from Lafayette to Baton Rouge to shoot the LSU vs Alabama game. While LSU may not have won the game, I came out with some great images (which I will share on the blog later in the week). Between a successful performance by Mandeville and capturing some nice images it was a great Saturday! Enjoy the photos and congratulations Mandeville on a great season!
