Sunday at the Lakefront

About two weeks ago, a good friend of mine visited the studio for some headshots. After we were finished with the formal headshots we decided to have a little fun and take advantage of the beautiful afternoon. So, after shooting some photos outside in the backyard we walked two blocks to the Lakefront. Apparently, a lot of people had the same idea we had, including several other photographer's. The light was perfect and the sunset was amazing. It was a photographers heaven and if I were still working for newspapers I would say it was feature photo heaven. Below are some of my favorite photos from the afternoon.

Mandeville vs EA

Again this week I attended the Mandeville High School football game, which was played on Thursday instead of Friday night at MHS. I love being the colorguard instructor for Mandeville but I can never leave the photographer in me behind when I am with the band and guard. So, of course I brought the cameral along in hopes of catching a few nice moments. Below are my favorites from the game (with most of the photos coming from the band either in or below the stands or preparing to take the field).

The Band's Perspective - Mandeville vs Catholic

Friday, I traveled with Mandeville High School marching band to Baton Rouge for the Mandeville vs Catholic H.S. game. This was my first game as the colorguard instructor with Mandeville. As always, I brought along the camera. While the guard danced beside me in the stands to the sounds of the Skipper band, I took the opportunity to shoot photos of the band and occasionally turned the camera toward the field.
